About ATC
The Arkansas Teacher Corps (ATC) partners with school districts to recruit, train, and support committed Arkansans as empowered teachers facilitating excellent, equitable education every day. ATC fellows teach a high-need content area for three years in an ATC partner school while completing high-quality training, personalized coaching, and required Praxis testing to earn a standard five-year teaching license.
Whether you already live in Arkansas or are looking to soon call Arkansas home, we applaud your commitment to the students, schools, and communities across our state. Together, we can ensure that all students are empowered as rigorous learners, resilient individuals, and responsive leaders.
ATC is administratively located within the Department of Education Reform (EDRE) in the U of A College of Education and Health Professions (COEHP). Funding for the program has been made available by the Walton Family Foundation, the Arkansas Department of Education, participating Arkansas public school districts, and individual donors through the Arkansas Teacher Corps Society.
